VA Education Benefits at the University of Maryland

The University of Maryland Veterans Certification Office certifies students based on their enrollment to receive VA Education Benefits under the Veteran's Education Assistance Act. The Veterans Certification Office serves a large group of students. To avoid delays in processing claims, it is extremely important to submit all the requested supporting documents.

Veterans are only certified for the current semester. Benefits will not automatically roll over from one semester to another. All returning University of Maryland College Park students must complete the UMD VA Enrollment Certification Request before the beginning of each semester (fall, spring, summer) so that benefits will not be interrupted.
