- Students attending the university under the Veteran's Education Assistance
Act may receive assistance and enrollment certification at the Veterans
Certification Office, Records and Registrations, 1st floor Mitchell Building.
The staff is available to assist regarding monthly educational assistance
checks as well as other benefits such as tutoring assistance and vocational
rehabilitation services.
- It is the responsibility of veterans and dependents receiving VA benefits
to notify the Veterans Certification Office of every change of course program.
The following types of changes must be reported:
- credit level or grading option change
- change of major
- change of address
- change of graduation
- academic dismissal or reinstatement actions
- intent to transfer from the College Park campus
- The University Veterans Office is required to notify the Department
of Veterans Affairs of the above changes to prevent delays in receipt of
benefits.
