We've had quite a bit of mail from AOL users that have experienced some
problems with our secure applications.
In some cases, obtaining the latest version of the AOL software solves the
problem. However, if you already have the latest software, we do not
currently have a solution. If you continue to experience problems, our
recommendation is to obtain a copy of either
Netscape Navigator
or
Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
We've found that these browsers works best with our sites.
America Online is capable of running a special version of Netscape designed
to be 100% compatible with America Online at Keyword: Netscape. To use
Netscape Navigator, you just need to download the AOL WinSock DLL (search
for TCP/IP, WinSock, or Netscape Navigator in AOL). After installing WinSock
and Netscape, you just need to sign onto AOL to use the Netscape Navigator.
Also, if the "parental controls" are set in AOL with anything other than full
access, the secure sites cannot be accessed.
If you continue to experience problems, please
let us know.
